Wind can carry dust and sand, which can form sand dunes. In the Gobi Desert, China, can have dunes that reach up to 400 metres. When the wind carries sand it can smooth rocks and cliff faces. Water and wind have worked together to wear away many mountains and one of them is in the middle of the Australia, Uluru.
